Official Story
The journey of Aryan Bhatia — blending Desi storytelling with modern R&B and hip-hop.
Where It All Started
Aryan Bhatia was born and raised in India until the age of nine, where music was always a constant presence in everyday life. Growing up around Bollywood melodies, Indian instrumentation, and modern pop shaped the way he connects with music today.
After moving to New Zealand, Aryan found himself surrounded by an entirely different musical landscape. The contrast between the two cultures naturally influenced the way he began creating music and telling stories through sound.
Over time, that mix of Indian influence and contemporary production became the foundation of his artistic identity, blending emotion, atmosphere, and storytelling without being tied to one specific genre.
The First Moment
Aryan wrote his first composition at just eleven years old, a song speaking out against racism. The song went on to win him the Musician of the Year award at his school, marking the first moment he realised the power music could have.
From that point on, music became something he continuously returned to. Writing songs became a way to process emotions, ideas, and experiences that were difficult to express in everyday life.
Years later, at the age of twenty, Aryan released his first official track, "Stranger."
The Turning Point
One of the most defining moments in Aryan's life came when he was hospitalised with rhabdomyolysis, a serious condition where doctors were unsure if he would survive.
Lying in that hospital bed forced him to reflect on the direction of his life.
He had been focused on studies, work, and side hustles, but one thing had always remained constant: music.
The ability to turn emotion into sound and connect with people through music became the purpose he decided to pursue with discipline and commitment.
Music became the thing that kept him grounded.
The Vision
Aryan's vision goes far beyond individual songs.
He dreams of hearing crowds sing lyrics that were once written late at night, in small rooms, on bus rides at 1 AM, or after long days of work.
Philosophy
Success for Aryan is not just numbers or streams.
It is hearing people sing his lyrics and knowing the emotions behind those words resonate with someone else's life.
It is building something meaningful enough that people recognise him not just by name but by the feeling his music gives them.
Ultimately, success means creating a body of work that lives on beyond him.
